GSA and GSSA representation

IAS is already well established in the International Air Freight market and will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in October 2017. It is renowned for its highly qualified personnel with many years of experience in airfreight, knowledge of the market and professionalism.

IAS has significant additional resources that can be deployed from across the network as required, including senior management.

We offer cost-effective representation using a proven business model to control your costs and maximize your revenue.

Shop – in – shop concept

The IAS shop-in-shop concept means we will promote the airline via dedicated phone lines to be answered in the principal’s name. Every airline represented by IAS has dedicated account executives assigned to each airline together with exclusive e-mail addresses in the name of each carrier. Our prime objective is to promote the name and image of the airline in the local market and enhance the awareness of the product amongst the local freight forwarders and consolidators.

Airline Operations

The specific functions that IAS could perform if requested to do so by the carrier include on a per flight basis:

  • Monitoring of cargo delivery ( import and export )
  • Issuing pallet build-up instructions and load plan for each flight/truck
  • Supervision of pallet build-up in the cargo terminal
  • Customs bonded trucking for export and import cargo
  • Ramp supervision by qualified loadmasters

IAS can offer our own trucking and handling network for your import cargo via Amsterdam to all major European cities.

We have chosen the best handling partners in each city and use a variety of trucking companies to make sure that your customers’ expectations are met.

24/7 Charter desk

IAS offers charter services to any destination worldwide with all types of cargo aircraft.

Our team of expert cargo charter brokers guarantees an immediate response to your requirement – whether for urgent relief goods, outsize freight, automobile components, ship spares, livestock or any other type of commodity.

In 2016 more than 1000 charter flights were fixed through IAS. Whatever air cargo charter requirements you may have, IAS can provide the ideal solution tailored to your specific needs

Project logistics

With our extensive experience moving outsize and heavy loads by air and working in remote and challenging locations around the world –  IAS has become a specialist in moving large-scale Project Cargo via air charter.

Over the years we have been involved in several long-term airlift movements such as the Kabul Powerplant Project which involved moving a 100 MW power station weighing 5,800 tonnes from Sharjah to Kabul using seventy two AN-124 charters plus thirty eight IL-76TD flights.  This included the airlift of eighteen diesel engines weighing 84500 kilos each which required very specialized handling at both origin and destination.

Other large-scale movements include the Iraq Currency Exchange Project involving the airlift of 3,400 tonnes of banknotes to the Central Bank of Iraq under tight security conditions, as well as several humanitarian disaster-relief operations in Africa, the Far East and the Caribbean, a long-term food distribution program in Afghanistan and an air bridge of components for an automotive manufacturer from Europe to the USA.

Airline Management

IAS has been involved in the start-up of several cargo airlines.

Management and Consultancy services were provided in the past for the launch of several airlines including :

Air Hong Kong / Polar Air Cargo / Dragon Air / AirBridgeCargo / Jade Cargo International.

Our current airline management project is Kalitta Air. Since 2003 IAS has performed the entire operational co-ordination, sales/marketing and financial management for U.S. all cargo B747F operator Kalitta Air LLC in Europe, The Middle East, Africa and the Indian Sub-continent.

Pharma Logistics

Cool-chain and temperature controlled ( TC ) logistics are much discussed topics in the airfreight industry during recent times, especially since the new GDP ( Good Distribution Practice ) regulations for pharmaceuticals were introduced in the EU.  Many carriers have a new TC product in their portfolio or are in the process of developing such a product.

For the past few years IAS has focused on TC related airfreight as a special project.  During this development a large network of both shippers and agents has been established and we are offering our TC services to the airlines we represent. Depending upon the wishes of the airline, our services can include specific lane/shipper projects, attending TC related trade exhibitions, up to a consultancy function in the development of a specialized TC product in the airline portfolio.
